Intimate Family Wedding in Andermatt

“Love, at its heart, is about letting go—letting go of the boundaries that separate us and letting go of the idea that love is finite. True love is expansive. It doesn’t divide; it multiplies.”

In December, we gathered at The Chedi Andermatt to celebrate not just the joining of two people, but also the weaving together of a family.

We symbolically tied a circle of ribbons around which the rings were passed.

Candles were lit – one from each family – to symbolise how two lives, and two families, are becoming one. Danielle and James read a letter to their children and the children read poems to their parents.

And after the last rose petals were thrown, the tissues used by everyone showed: There truly lies so much beauty in an intimate wedding ceremony 🤍
